In the beginning there was a lightbulb!

Like all lightbulbs, it came to be because something existed that needed illumination.

Like many creative people, I have struggled. I struggled as an amateur artist, I struggled through my Undergraduate Degree, and a Masters Degree in Fine Art, and I have struggled to make my way as an artist in the world ever since. Don't get me wrong, there have been moments of success and intense pleasure, but my creative existence has largely been strung together by an endless list of ways of trying to make it from one month to the next, juggling family life and every day stresses, all the while trying to stay motivated, on track, productive, entrepreneurial, and a marketing expert to boot! I know from speaking to other people I am not the only one. There is a myriad of information out there on "how to make it". Some of it is free, some of it is extremely ambiguous, and some of it is great if you can afford the price tag to access it!

Let me reassure you, Art-Mantic is different. Why? Because it is built for and about creative people. It is about sharing our authentic experience of living a creative life, wherever that might be and whatever level of success we may, or may not, have achieved.

Hearing about the experience, thoughts and perspectives of other creative people is fascinating, reassuring and inspiring. Sharing our successes, our failures, our struggles, and the underpinning philosophies behind our individual practices builds relationships and helps to lift each other up. It gives our audience a further insight in to who we are, what we do, and how much of our soul goes in to creating. While it is not intended as a market place, all contributors will be contactable via a contributors page, so it's also about growing a following for everyone involved.

Art-Mantic is all about honest conversation, fresh perspectives, wide participation, and inclusion in a safe, thoughtful and respectful environment. If you are a creative person, live with a creative person, buy from creative people, teach, or enjoy creative pursuits as an amateur, there is a very good chance that you are already an expert and have something to share; nobody knows you like you do!

So, whether you would like to read, watch, or submit content yourself, pop over to the website. Get in touch, and let me know what you think. I can't do this all by myself, but together we will build something amazing.
